Jiraiya and Whitebeard the top favorite elders from both the universe!
Whether it's about their strength or influence over the people they both have a mesmerizing personality! Carrying on the series without these popular characters is important to begin a new era! But the death must be justified!
Whitebeard with his alliance went to rescue his son Fire Fist Ace from the execution at Marine Headquarters. He wasn't able to do that because of his age but the epic moments and tide of emotions which he left with the beginning of new era is still one of my favorite scene in OP!
Jiraiya was gone in the village hidden in rain to find out the true identity of leader of the Akatsuki! He was shocked to know that his own disciple was the mastermind Pain! He succeeded in finding out the true identity of pain and he died during it.
Whitebeard final words before dying was, the One Piece is real! Which reignited the fire of new era! But what about Jiraiya's code? It all goes to vain cause it was never delivered to Naruto! Why? If you remember they were trying to figure out the code while Naruto was learning Sage Jutsu. When Naruto returns he directly goes on fight, one on one with Pain instead of knowing the Jiraiya's final words!
Both death has been saddest death of the decade and has a great contribution in the progression of the story.
The way Whitebeard dies gives you goosebumps, pride for the world's strongest man and opened a great debate that Edward Newgate aka Whitebeard was the uncrowned pirate king!
While Jiraiya death gives you pity feeling for one of the Legendary Sanin and leave you unsatisfied for your whole life the way they kill this great character!
